Zack
Cooper, President
With over 35 years in the insurance business, Zack has always been an
innovator. While attending Oklahoma State University and majoring in Agricultural
Economics, Zack formed National Student Services, an insurance company
to address the specific need of college students for personal property
insurance. Today, National Student Services (www.nssinc.com)
provides coverage to students at over 1,100 colleges and universities
in the U.S. having issued over 380,000 policies. As the first registered
insurance consultant in Oklahoma, his firm was the first to market special
package programs for nursing homes, RV and mobile home dealers, oil jobbers,
and gasoline transports. Moving to California in 1990, intermodal trucking
caught his interest. He founded the Intermodal Contractors Association
of North America, Inc. in 1999 to provide a purchasing mechanism to lower
the cost of insurance to owner operators in the intermodal industry. In
2003, culminating almost three years of effort, Zack and some of his clients
formed the Intermodal Insurance Company (IIC). In addition to his transportation
expertise, which also extends to large fleet operations, Zack brings a
unique perspective the writing of Alternative Risk Transfer programs and
comprehensive large-scale habitational insurance programs.
L Cris Rebullida, Sr. Risk Consultant
Starting in the mail room of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, Cris’
insurance career spans nearly 40 years. He has worked for both insurance
companies and national and regional brokerage firms including Geo. F Brown
& Sons and Frank B. Hall. He started the Excess and Surplus Lines
operations for Marsh McLennan. He has served as risk and program consultant
to agencies and large accounts from coast to coast. With extensive relationships
in the insurance and re-insurance industries, Cris knows how to get the
job done. He has been responsible for the formation of captives and special
programs in the areas of habitational, construction, trucking, taxi, municipalities,
warranties, and service contracts. Annual premiums in the special programs
developed by Cris well exceed $100 million. Some look at complex insurance
challenges and say “why?” - Cris looks at those same challenges
and says, “why not?”
